Tech Rants & Random Adventures

About Me

Hi there! I'm Sally Tong - a self-taught developer, tech enthusiast, and professional overthinker. I started coding as a hobby and somehow turned it into a career, a passion, and now this blog where I rant about all things tech.

When I'm not wrestling with code, you can find me buried in a book (usually about programming, psychology, or both), experimenting with new coffee brewing methods, or trying to explain tech concepts to my very patient cat.

This blog is my digital playground where I share everything from hard-won tech lessons to random life musings. Consider it a peek into the mind of someone who sees the world through code-colored glasses.

Coffee cups consumed today: 3 (and counting)

Books read this year: 27 (mostly tech, some fantasy escapes)

Lines of code written: ∞ (or at least it feels that way)

Cats owned: 1 (his name is Mr. Whiskers, he's my debugger)

My Tech Journey

It all started when I was 12 and accidentally discovered the "View Source" option in my browser. Seeing the raw HTML behind websites felt like uncovering a secret language, and I was hooked.

I taught myself to code through online tutorials, countless Stack Overflow searches, and many, many broken websites. After studying Computer Science (and drinking what I'm pretty sure was more coffee than water), I worked at several tech startups before going freelance.

These days, I split my time between client projects, learning new technologies (currently obsessed with WebAssembly), and writing about my experiences here.

Why This Blog Exists

I hope you like my site, I love to learn new things, travel and live life to the full!

Feel free to get in touch if any of the rants help

I originally write this stie to help others

Sometimes you just need to rant about semicolons or you'll go crazy!

I needed an excuse to buy more domain names

Whether you're here by accident (random search) or just cat stories - welcome! I'm glad you're here.
